'Sinatra at the Sands' 60th in Las Vegas!
Las Vegas, NV — SiriusXM’s ’Siriusly Sinatra' and Vic’s Las Vegas are pleased to present a special one-night-only concert honoring the 60th Anniversary of ‘Sinatra at the Sands’ — a swingin’ musical celebration dedicated to one of the most iconic recordings and musical collaborations in Las Vegas history.
On Thursday, November 5 at 8 PM, Vic’s will turn back the clock to the golden age of Las Vegas, celebrating Frank Sinatra’s legendary 1966 residency at the Copa Room and his unforgettable collaboration with Count Basie & His Orchestra.
Starring acclaimed recording artists, Matt Forbes and Dave Damiani — and backed by an impressive 17-piece big band — the evening will capture the swagger, sophistication, and unmistakable sound that defined Sinatra’s Las Vegas era.
Beyond the iconic tracks of ‘Sinatra at the Sands’, this 95-minute performance will revisit selections from Sinatra’s other celebrated albums with Count Basie — including 1962’s ‘Sinatra–Basie’ (arranged by Neal Hefti) and 1964’s ‘It Might As Well Be Swing’ (arranged by Quincy Jones). Audiences will have the rare opportunity to hear these songs performed using the original, seldom-heard arrangements — generously on loan from the Sinatra Family archive.
